[SOLVED] Game launching in a small screen in the top left corner / HUD scaling issues.
I really need help. The game is launching in a small screen in the top left corner of my monitor as shown here. http://imgur.com/BoHi0A5 I have tried everything I can think of and now I turn to you. Basic specs are R9 290X, i7 2600 3.4 and Windows10.

I believe I have your problem worked out in 0.0.1 of Souls Unsqueezed.

Can you please let me know if https://github.com/Kaldaien/SoulsUnsqueezed/releases/tag/sus_001 resolves it?

I've gone ahead and configured HUD scaling for 1080p, since that's the default resolution on many systems these days. Please edit SoulsUnsqueezed.ini accordingly if that's not right for your system.

Kaldaien this fixed the problem perfectly. Praise the sun, and praise you! I will mark the thread accordingly and redirect others with the same problem to here. \[T]/

Yay, another fixed Bandai Namco game I can add to my growing list, lol...

The project has a guide here on Steam (very, very early), it's probably better to link to that.

A solution, that at least worked for me was alt tabbing out of the game as soon as the game starts, as soon as the screen turns white. I have a tv as a monitor which I think was said to be a cause of this issue.

hey souls unsqueezed works thanks kaldaien

I did both methods. Both worked including the alt/enter at the white screen. But for some odd reason RB/regular attack doesnt work at all. When i run the game from my laptop it runs flawless , but when i plug in an hdmi to connect to my hdmi that top left corner thingy happens. But both methods that you guys mentioned (unsqueezed patch and the alt/enter work) but i cant use RB. WTF is that crap

This. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ dude THANK YOU. Once I do this, it seems to prevent me from alt tabbing out if I'm, say, on Skype or want to change a video. But this is at least a soft fix.

I will also try the Unsqueezed Patch later but I only have an hour to jump on the game so this will do for now.

I rarely engage in forums but I had to thank you Joe Ellis and the DS3 Steam community for getting this fixed. This is my first DS game and whilst it's been a rocky start at least I can actually play it now...

i use borderless windowed gaming which fixes this issue for me (i start the game as windowed and the borderless windowed gaming makes it a fullscreen borderless), may be worth a try?

Just moved to windows 10. Never had a problem before. Now I seem to have an extreme version of this problem.
My game is still running at 1920x1080 but it's only about a third of my screen and stuck in the top left corner. I cannot alt tab. I cannot open task manager. I cannot change resolution. This sucks.

I went through your guide however by doing so there seems to be a new issue, when I run the game the screen is white with the typical Dark Souls III cursor. But as soon as I click or try and interact with the program it stops responding; I've tried waiting for the program to respond or just not interacting with the program for 25m or so but to no avail. No clue what to do now. Thanks in advance!

WOW this was a known issue in 2016? So why the ♥♥♥♥ am I still having to deal with it half way through 2018? Oh ya, cause they were SO BUSY making Dark Souls remastered, a game that is an objective downgrade from DS fix, a mod 1 guy made in a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ day!

I am not even going to bother with any of these fixes because I know I am going to have more problems anyway and it is literally not worth the trouble for this linear disappointment of a game. I would have refunded this game like 50 ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ times already. Get your ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥ together Fromsoft. You used to be my favourite developer. Now I honestly just get put into a bad mood at the mention of your name. So incompetent...

I don't know where you get your information, but Durante absolutely didn't create DSFix in one day.
