How to get fur?

How do you get fur in this game, you need it for a lot of crafts but I cant see how to craft it and nothing has dropped it so far

I am getting them on a level 13 frost island from the creatures "kupongo"

I was just fighting some kupongo for about an hour, and I couldn't get one piece of fur to drop. :( have they changed this?
Granted, these kupongo were on a jungle world.

You'll need to fight the frost world variety, the jungle ones don't drop any fur.

They do have slightly different names as well - Kupongo for the frost variety, Kapongo for the Jungle ones, as well as different attack patterns.

Ah, thanks for the tip Hardenberg. I hadn't noticed the name difference. I'll keep that in mind, now. Currently in search of a frost world now, in my explorations!

They're actually dropped by Alp-Utan, maybe that was a name change from prior versions.

The Jungle Variety are called ♥♥♥-Utan.

They can be found in frost worlds 2-03 Hintertown, 2-07 North Point, and 2-12 Mount Meridian.
