tha ts not right you will eventually matchmake with randoms

in the same way you CAN get people joining in the middle of a run, but its super rare. Since it seems the system prioritizes new matches if they are there.

I thought it went down the order of the deck?

The deck is in order.

Imagine you take the top 5 cards and put them on the table face up, you then remove one of the cards, put the other 4 back on top of your deck, and then put down the top 5, then you have 4 of the same card and only one that changes every time.

Thats how it works. So you 5 cards after your first pick is effectively "backup options" you can choose from, as it continues down the deck.

depends on difficulty.

Recruit there are 4 charges, all shared, on vet there is 1 and then you pay, again all shared, there is nothing preventing you from taking multiple charges for yourself, People are largely ignoring it due to ignorance of not understanding that it heals, or knowing its there, its a fully shared thing for everybody, and they are GUARANTEED in every prepper stash, so bring ATLEAST 1 toolkit.

I played this game 400+ hours.
And I always felt there were a lot of things wrong with the game
I'm not just talking about bugs or inaccessibility.
The purpose or goal of playing the game was so worthless.
The change of legendary items that will be patched only now is good news.
Also, there is no sign of fixing the bug that still fails to achieve accolades.
Of course, I won't be playing anymore.
And I can say it's a dead game

imagine playing a game 400 hours and then complaining about it not being good enough, smh.

It's crazy how even in the embers of a game with only 498 In-Game (down from what, 100k on release?) you still have steam level 0 accounts trolling in defence of what made the game slide this way

This game could have been game of the year with some love, polish and care.

The short sighted money grab with no support model that was chosen instead led to here

Except they themselves said it was a play and finish game, i have 183 hours in the game and i really enjoyed it despite its bugs, thats a massive amount of hours compare to some other games i have basically not touched since.

Dark souls remastered has "only" 2.3k people playing at the moment, i dare you to call that a bad game.

If Campaign Versus Mode released day 1 it would be a rage quit simulator

Day 1 noobs need to git gud for a while until it releases

I can't imagine this generation of zoomer gamers staying in a long winded high skill gap Campaign Versus match for 1 hour without rage quitting

Ogre and Breaker balance is yet to be tested along with Hag and Screamer

I would give devs the benefit of the doubt if they only did a clarification announcement on Campaign Versus Mode roadmap status maybe 1 year down the road
I hope they do a campaign Vs eventually as I feel it will be such a great way to play and especially with friends. I know its probs just a L4D thing but L4D is such a amazing game so I hope they can bring over some of the elements.

From a game design perspective (Being a programmer with a focus on game design) i imagine part of why they didnt want to do it were for a few reasons.

1) the duration of it is too long, it was a different time that you might not get away with anymore, looking at the survival mode which is best of three, it seems that 5 minutes per round is max, so the fights will last AT MAX 30 minutes, and most likely be shorter than that for quick bursts of gameplay

2) the designing of a map to be both compelling and fun for pve and pvp is really hard, i assume people who played alot of versus would know about specific spots that was super easy to kill people in, or kinda janky areas that could be abused for being harder, which yes you can play around, but with the split of them they can make really pvp focused maps with various chokepoints and places to fight, and also make pve maps that wouldnt work well with PVP infected because they are too easily abusable

3) the game difficulty seems to be alot harder, atleast from alpha it seemed like a lot of people got their ass handed to them, and that normal zombies are much more a threat than they were in L4D, so the specials on top of that is built around the other zombies as opposed to being the big oneshot things. (Forexample of the 9 designs none of them actually pushes players in the same way charger does, and the closest would be the mix of hunter and jockey that can drag people around)

They said everybody who played alpha gets beta access, i have also seen that people who has alpha cant redeem a beta key, so its possible that it will just pop up at the right time for you.

So this is for the test this week? I tried to activate it but steam says "I allready have it" and I do have back 4 blood beta in my libary without any pre order. Dont know if this will work or not, I do played the first test

Ah yeah if you have the alpha then you automatically get it when the early acesss beta comes out the 5th, dunno if its added automatically or you get a mail :)

Its 4vs4, change sides, best of 3, with surviving as long as you can and upgrading your abilities throughout the round.

And again the point this person is trying to say, is that LEFT 4 DEAD the old game made by the same studio instead of being in an arena you would simply play the campaign maps, but the zombies were player controlled, where in this game its a dedicated pvp mode in a dedicated pvp map.

TBH this is an amazing idea. This even could be Esport ready and I cant wait to play the open beta next week. Playing the Story with PvP would also be neat but the PvP looks amazing. L4D pvp is bit strange when people know what they are doing, they simply rush to safe house and can probably play blind. The Price is sick but you can look on Kinguin to get it bit cheaper and just pay the price, I dont mind

Simply say the only pvp side of the game for now is some sort of Survival Versus and not a real Versus like you can have in l4d2

I dont know what to think of Survival Versus, sounds like normal pvp where 4 player are survivor and 4 player the zombies. Any info on how that "PvP" mode works?

What is going on? I didnt read anything about that they remove stuff from the game. I'm getting it for PvP anyway and its there so anything will be fine. If you want coop only get Vermintide

Its because some people think this is left 4 dead 3, which its inspired by l4d but a lot of new systems such as the entire card system, challenges, shop in the map etc.

So their logic is "but l4d2 had it so this game not having it is REMOVING IT" as opposed to just not making it.
Its funny how much people doesnt realize its a massive pain and incredibly restrictive to make campaign maps that also caters to pvp mode and is balanced.

I can 100% understand why they made the pvp mode separate especially since they wanted it to be a unique mode instead of "campaign with player zombies".

You can feel they took some of the good ideas from evolve and ported them over, and i think they learned their lesson in designing interesting campaigns but decided that it didnt work for pvp.

In topic Question about difficulty for this time?
Not knowing what changed i guess its like vermintide which when it came out people got their asses handed to them repeatedly, and then later people got better, and got better gear (this game has card system but im not sure how it unlocks new cards)

The Developer decides if he want's to join in or which publisher's buiness model they get, so no excuse for that.

actually if you followed them you would know that they were originally published by THQ which went bankrupt and therefore their game license was auctioned off to the highest bidder, and while they tried to buy it themselves 2k simply offered a higher price and was responsible for all the marketing and pricing.

Combine that with the open beta client being the same as launch on the store, which meant people didnt own it could review bomb it, and that it wasnt a game you just picked up an played leading to people instead of realizing their mistakes just say its a bad game (like angry joe complaining that he kept running after the monster and never catching it and game bad, and then ran right into a plant), and you have an amazing game and amazing concept that was squeezed to death by 2k.

I wouldnt at all worry over turtlerock, i would worry over warnerbros.
