Longnail charm worth it?

So I've just gotten back from the City of Tears for the first time and while exploring I found the Bug who sells charms is the longnail charm worth it or should I save my geo for other things?

(I've already purchased the lantern from the bug up top)

Yes, it's worth it. You can play the entire game without it though.

There's another charm you get from a boss that's basically a stronger version of Long Nail. I think they stack, so it's at least worth trying. You'll have plenty of geo eventually.

I'd say so. Money sorta becomes a non-factor near the end of the game, so don't worry spending money here and not having enough later.

Unfortunately the other charm Paugus is talking about is not really much better, and definitely not worth the extra slot to use it (3 notches vs 2 for longnail).

I find in particular it makes down-slash-bouncing a lot easier.

Longnail basically has a permanent slot in my final build, for any circumstance. So uh..yeah.

The best early charms are the Compass and the Gathering Swarm. The second one becomes unnecessary once you get rich, but I've never taken the first one off.

Seriously, this game's mapping system is a godsend.
