I watched both all the way through, these games are basically perfect renditions of their 16 and 32 bit counter parts. They skimp on the intro stage and mid stage for 8 but those stages were jokes any way.

I especially like the inclusion of Tengu Man's Sega Saturn music if you re-enter his stage after his defeat. ;)

As said multiple times, the original 6 Mega Man games aren't being emulated in the collection, they were recreated with a different engine. Reason being so that it would be easier to port these games later down the line.

I don't care whether or not the games are emulated... I'm simply saying Capcom should get a hold of these guys and add these two 8-bit de-makes to the collection. If a fan group could remake an entire game from scratch what is Capcom's excuse for being so lazy?

Technically they have the rights to these characters and could sue these guys asses off.

They should just take back what's there's and translate the text and title screens to English... We could have a proper Mega Man 8-bit Legacy collection that includes ALL the original Mega Man Titles 1 to 10.

Everyone is talking about how they can't add MM7 and 8 because they're not true 8-bit games and is the reason why they are excluded... it's a pizz poor excuse in all honesty... MM7 and 8 are still part of Mega Man's "Legacy".

The work it takes to "demake" 7 and 8 would be better put into outright making original games, that's why they're not bothering with that.

With that said, linking to two fangames and saying "nyanya there's no excuse to include 7 and 8 now" is kinda dumb because almost every megaman series has an 8 bit fan game. It's not like most of us didn't know about these fan games to begin with anyway but it takes some weird logic to demand 7 and 8 just because a dude made fan games based on them.

As discussed many many times by now, the word "Legacy" is quite meaningless when it comes to game compilations. It's kinda similar to "GOTY" or "Collection, they're not forced to include anything they don't want to. "Legacy" does not force capcom to include other games past the first six because this collection is supposed to be about the original NES games.
