Lolz, a headcrab doesn't have the power to pull a man into a ventilation shaft,
a scientists with a headcrab attached, maybe...
Most likely it could be a barnacle if the vent goes straight up, right behind the wall.
Scientist tried to escape, opened the vent , then went in head first, and came down in pieces.
That's the Office Complex one, the Unforseen Consequences one uses headcrab sounds in the original game. No idea if it is a headcrab zombie or something worse we never get to see.
That may be possible, though considering what Mr Friendly does to its victims, (i.e. it literally r.apes them to death) how the scientists gibs fly out of the vent afterward doesn't bear thinking about what is going on in there or how their bodies explode in the first place.
