Stuck at Learning the Jecht Shot

So during the Jecht Shot where it asks you to practice pressing the buttons, when I get to S+D+C it doesn't work. All the other button prompts have worked but not this one. Is there a way to either exit out of the shot or resolve this?

It may be an issue with your keyboard, some keyboards lock inputs so you can't press too many buttons at the same time.

Well it worked with all the other inputs though.

Are all of those 3 keys at the same time? I imagine most aren't. Then you could check if it's really the right keys you're pressing or if for some reason it's something else; I'm not up on the keyboard bindings.

Do you have a controller you could use even if it's just for that section?

Yeah the bindings worked. I even tried replaying with other bindings and it's just that one last prompt so it's not a problem with the keys.
As for a controller, I've tried connecting an Xbox controller, but it doesn't seem to work. Works with other games so I guess FFX is just weird.

That does seem strange, I'm using an Xbox controller without any problems. It's weird that just one set of keys doesn't work when all the others do, I'm not sure what would cause that.

If controller input is a problem, perhaps the UnX mod could help?

Update: The mod worked, but now the game's in Japanese.

For that, you just have to edit UnX_Language.ini in your game folder.
And you replace :

[Language.Master]
SoundEffects=jp
Voice=jp
Video=jp

with

[Language.Master]
SoundEffects=en
Voice=en
Video=en

Et voilà.

You can also mix and match, if you prefer Japanese audio + English text, for example.

The mod just set all the voice/"sounds" to japanese by default, everything else stay in english (or in the default language of your system).
I didn't see an option to change the text (?).

No worries I can understand the Japanese I just like the campiness of the English.
