But I also think that Kitase-san has other things to do.
(Do I really want a depressing game? If the mood of Will is the general mood in X-3 - no thank you. Not all games have to be what is considered grown up. Some need to stay a little teenager lovey doey. - Y'know: absurdely happy ever after or at least with a very optimistic ending.)
The bonus audio in the credits was created for the remaster. It has as far as I'm aware been about as well recieved as the idea of midichlorians.
The FFX-2 settings are the FFX settings. Baralai is also in FFX Will and Tidus being back follows on from the ending of FFX-2 so it actually uses quite a bit of material from FFX-2.
The existence of Will & 2.5 are not guarantees that X3 is happening. Bonus material created for anniversary editions and such is quite common and the reddit post makes no effort to provide any sources for those claims.
thx for your kind reply. I may have made myself misunderstood, sorry about that. What I mean is in the bonus audio, you will see pictures of character specifications, monsters and scenario scripts, all of which come from FFX but not FFX-2.
Yes, it is for sure anniversary bonus material does not necessarily suggest a FFX-3 promise. In the audio that Yuna is setting out to defeat Sin by herself, it is to me a sign that a new story is to begin, otherwise SE should give this HD remaster a finishing story bonus material.
And here in China, FFX HD is already the grand seller game in PS4 and PSV. It would be a miss in their company strategy if there is no sequel.
That means nothing though.
Sin's already been defeated so I'm not really sure what you are getting here but I suspect this is also largely down to language barrier issues.
They did it's called the golden endings of X-2. It can be a sign for you but that is a personal interpretation.
So releasing FFXV, FFVII remake & Kingdom Hearts 3 would't be doing that? Personally I don't think that just because it has been financially succesfull in one region means it should automatically get another continuation not when the story has already been concluded.
Frankly having read the synposis of both 2.5 & Will the story directions in both come across as something out of bad fanfic and contradict elements of the plot of the previous games.I'd prefer to not see any further stories set in Spira if those are going to the groundwork for them.
I agree with you largely on this ground, but anyway, I would like to see the story beginning in Will get finished.
Because SE "might" ruin it, so they rather have no sequel and leave it at the cliffhanger FFX Will. That's stupid.
Why? The story in Will is terrible and just comes across as bad fanfiction.
Indeed, I read the news in 2014. SE once said there would be no sequel to FFX, but here comes FFX-2, that is the style of SE.
Two years have passed by beside,so give it some expectations.
Thank you @MorninglightMountain for your careful, logistic reply. I think the story is perfectly finished in FFX/X-2. My point is the story in Will and the bonus audio has just started, SE simply would not let sin come back again but do nothing, though it is like some fan fictions as you said.
Indeed, what i mean is financial target has to be considered in SE's successive project schedules, and anyone knows what a Chinese market means since there is such demand. FFX HD is the first one in FF series that is not locked in Chinese region on steam store(except for FFVII), that does mean something, aha. What you sayis both reasonable and sound enough, I only give some facts here.
Yeah, to many, the story in FFX in fairly good enough. Same to me, but I just want to see the story beginning in Will get finished, personal taste somehow. But if Tidus dies I would not be accepting that.
