Save file corrupted

Ok so for some reason my ffx save data managed to chew through a few GB of my memory in C drive and when the drive got full I accidentally overwrite my save and now its corrupted. Is there any way to get back my old save?

Or can someone share me a save file where the story reach around thunder plains?

If you have Steam cloud enabled, delete or move all the save file away from the save folder, then start the game and Steam will download your backup save from the cloud.

But it seems that the data in my cloud is corrupted as well. I'm trying to get an earlier save that I've overwrote, if that still exist. That is.

This is at the inn in Thunder Plains, right after I completed 200 lightning strikes. So if you wanted to do that, sorry. Also this is a save I was playing around with and gave myself a lot of items you shouldnt have so I hope you are not a purest. I have a ton of Lv3 and Lv4 spheres and other items you wouldnt have.

They're separate files of a fixed 27 KB size each.

That means the save folder cannot ever end up GB-sized.
So whatever the OP had happen, I'd suggest running a file system integrity check fast and having an external disk for emergency backup handy. Because it sounds like file system corruption and that usually means a disk with impending failure.

You might also have a situation where only a few bytes of the save file were mangled. FFX stores checksum data in each save in what appears to be tamper-prevention. This means that a single byte change in the save results in FFX telling you "data is corrupt".

There is a utility linked on various forums called "MemorySumChecker". Its purpose is to generate and store save checksums for FFX and FFX-2 saves, and it is relied upon by many who edit their saves. By itself, this utility should not constitute a cheat as it analyzes the data present and "completes" it so that FFX will use it. If you're lucky, this might just be a silver bullet for you to repair older saves. Without knowing just *how* broken they are, though, you might be better off just replaying, as other corrupted values can produce all sorts of odd behavior.

also as stated above i also have a save at the thunderplains right after finishing the lightning challange but it hasnt had items added to it if you like a more clean and base game save
