[FFX] How to skip the intro and get straight to the game menù?

I've found no way to do what is a common logic behavior in other games.
I'm already sick of the "To Zanarkand" theme and I can't bear to wait 5 minutus when i want to play on 10...
Any Ideas?

Once you've seen it once, you can skip it by pressing start (or the keyboard equievelant)

Are you on Gamepad or M&K? I assume you try press either esc or enter?

I think this is an issue with you, OP, and not with the game. I can always skip the intro by pressing start.

That's what the Start button on a controller usually does.

Yes, I've been thinking about it...
Infact during the game you pause with B, and you skip with another button.
It's sad to say that this is not even a "bad" port!

But you're pressing the equivilant of the start button on a PS3 controller to skip the opening. It's not a fault of the port at all, it's how it's always worked...

I agree it's crappy. The Z key is to skip cutscenes so logically it should be used to skip the opening as well on a pc's keyboard. I don't know how many posts I read before finally finding it's the B key, here in this topic that skips it. THANK YOU for the information.
