I had a look at trying to import some ps4 saves earlier, it crashed the game when it gets past the logos.

Looked into the save files for pc and ps4 with a hex editor, totally different inside.

Not hopeful

Would be awesome if it could.
I'm playing on my PS4 right now.

At the lighting map.
So I wish they could let me use the Save file from Ps4

PS4 saves are encrypted by Sony, they won't directly port over. Your best bet is probably to upload your PS4 save to the in-game cloud saves, borrow a PS3 version, download the save to that PS3, then copy the PS3 save to a flash drive. I'm not sure if I'm allowed to go into detail here, but there are ways to decrypt PS3 saves.

I did practically the reverse of this on moving my PS2 save to PS3, then using the in-game cloud saves to get it to PS4. Took a bit of hexediting, reencrypting, and checksum inputting, but I managed it my first try. It makes me pretty confident that if you can move a PS2 save to the PC version (which I haven't tried, but I'd love to see someone manage it. You probably need an International edition PS2 save), you can move any other version to PC using a PS3 as an intermediary step.

If anyone has a PC save they're willing to upload, I'd actually like to take a look at one.

Of course I bought a PS4 and this game a couple months before this came out on PC. Of course I grinded to 99999 damage per hit. Of course you can't import.

PS4 and PSV save data haven't been decrypted yet.

The easiest way is transfer the save from PS4/V to PS3, save it as a PS3 save data, which has been decrypted years ago. Then find a way to convert it into PC save.

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ GOT IT!!!!

Just decrypted the save, changed the name to match the PC format and it loaded.

Wait, so you just copied over (and decrypted) a PS3 save with no hexediting? Very nice! Makes it nice and simple to copy PS3/PS4/Vita/TV saves provided you have a PS3 and the PS3 version.

This likely means to move a PS2 save over, you'll need to convert it to the International edition (if it's a save from the US), then copy everything from 9400 to FBFF in the PS2 save with a hex editor, and paste it over everything from 0000-67FF in the PC save. I'm not quite certain and don't have a PC version to check with, though.

It's not perfect, the active party member section on the save screen will be empy, and it'll default Tidus's name, but yea aside from that seems to work no problem.
@chris100185
