Xbox One controller support?

Oh yes I see it coming, release, instant buy, and disappointed because XBO controller doesnt work like in most of the former FF games...... I know for some ppl it works, unfortunately for me it doesnt :(

do you use a lot of other devices when you play games? i found that most of the time when i have a mouse and my Nostromo controller, keyboard and the XBOX 360 controller pluged in some games wont recognise the XBOX 360 contorller to fix it i had to unplug my nostromo i've had this problem with several games in the past DCUO, FFVII and a couple others

also you'll have to restart the game for it to work as well

The games do wonky things to my xbone controller also. The solution that works for me is disconnecting it and then plugging it in after the game launches.

Only Game that has given me trouble with the Xbox One Controller is FFXIII

I've played all my FF games on steam with an xbox one controller.... (wirelessly with new driver or wired with old driver). Works with every game compatible with x360 controller.

If you have W10, just downgrade your wired drivers if the buttons are messed up (triggers not working ect). Unfortunately, such fix doesn't work with the wireless dongle

The Xbone controller works fine and isn't 3rd party... the "proper ones" as you say makes no sense since the Xbox controller is also for the pc... it is a proper one.

And it works fine on all the other FF games, so why wouldn't it work on this one?

The Xbone controller works fine and isn't 3rd party... the "proper ones" as you say makes no sense since the Xbox controller is also for the pc... it is a proper one.

And it works fine on all the other FF games, so why wouldn't it work on this one?

Considering a bunch of complaints on every single JRPG games complaining about Xbox/Ps not working but regular PC gamepads zero issue.

Xbox one controller (if the driver is correctly installed) works like an xbox360 controller.... There is a bug with the new driver but you can downgrade it pretty easily on W10

Well it depends on what you consider a lot. Usually I have 3x external HDDs, WLAN stick, Blu-Raydrive, Toshiba wireless adapter, bluetooth stick, Mouse, Keyboard, USB hub (without further items) and a Samsung tablet connected to the PC via USB.

I mean other games just work fine with the controller even when these devices are connected to the pc. Would have been a joke if I had to disconnect other devices just to play a game... but I already tried it out and no it still doesnt work.

Maybe, but it is a "regular PC gamepad" and I've never had issues with it.

There are always people that have problems with stuff like this.
Same goes for FPS and hardware, some play, let's say Dark Souls 3, smooth (60fps) with a 970 and other say they can barely get 30 fps with a 970.

sorry man, Xbox ONE controller for Windows worked for me with Final Fantasy VI, VII, XIII, XIII-2 & Lightning Returns.... didn't try with VIII but I assume it'll work.

I assume things will go smooth also for IX & X whenever I get those.

My Xbox One controller workds like a charm but I do have changed the drives from what it is , windows 10 latest ones, to the older ones.
You can find the link for those drivers on the FF XIII forums , which is a suggested fix for when you can't move the cursos in menus with the Xbox one controller.

Well for example my Xbox Controller worked so far fine with this game. But when it comes to FF XIII for example, game ALWAYS freezes when at savepoints or when there are tutorials in mid fight. In that case I have to plug out controller fast, save or play the tutorials with the keyboard, and when its done plug in controller and I can continue using it. But still it is annoying... But its not like, that it doesnt works at all.

I found out my Controller didn't work if I had another device conntected at the same time like my Nistromo Keypad.

Even if I set windows to prefer the controller it still wouldn't work. If you have one or similar. Disconnect it before you start the game and see if the controller works then
