..really??? My virus scanner said the game launcher is a suspicious file...
So i ran a extensive virus scan on my pc, and reported that the game launcher for this game is a suspicious file. I sent the info to my virus scanner company. I really hope this is a false positive, because if it is not, then my pc got infected, since i doubt the launcher has some kinda virus in it.

or your antivirus is reporting a false positive - or it is just crap.

I believe it is false positive. I already reported it to my virus scanner company and they should whitelist it in 5-7 days after their labs analyze it. Technically, what is weird, this is the 4th game on steam that gave me this "suspicious file" thing. Someone on another form said it was due to some process associated with them called Clickteam Fusion. Every game that has been reported has been using this program and apparently the launcher on here uses it too.

If your interested, it is this program. I looked it up myself. It is possible the version being detected by my virus scanner is finding old versions of it..since FFX/x-2 launcher probably uses a older version of the program..at least the launcher...

False positives are not uncommon just because of how/what the AV software looks for in an executable. Sending it to the AV company is helpful, because they can either add it to the whitelist, or use the info to improve the software's scanning methods.

Yea, i just hope they whitelisted it by now. Im not even sure why my virus scanner was even detecting it..the game worked fine for the most part..with some crashing...

It's obviously a false positive. Do you think steam just lets people upload whatever onto the store?
