I for example did not experience crashes or other problems and am just playing at maxed settings.
So - what is your setup? Just saying the name of a brand tells us absolutely nothing, it is kinda like saying you get a VW. What CPU, Memory, GPU, display, SSD/HDD ?
Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-10210U CPU @ 1.60GHz 2.11 GHz
Installed RAM 8.00 GB (7.80 GB usable)
System type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor
Pen and touch No pen or touch input is available for this display
And it's Acer Aspire 5 and I had this since April 2020
Does your model come with a GPU (dedicated graphics-card)?
if you are not sure - open taskmanager and go to the performance-tab, at the left it will show you CPU, Ram, and at the bottom the GPU(s) - there should be an Intel UHD as GPU 0, but does it also say anything like Nvidia Geforce or AMD Radeon as GPU1?
You should try checking gamefile integrity (via steam), and see if all drivers are up to date.
Do you have any anti-virus software that might interfer? Or any of those garbage "optimizers" or other "cleaning"utilitis ? (Be aware - most of them make your laptop slower and they can cause many other problems )
Make sure that the safe-directory and the files are not write-protected. In general playing at fullscreen has the least problems for me, you might also try starting the game as admistrator.
If the problems persists (and nobody else knows anything), you might just try lowering all settings to the minimum and then testing again, changing one setting at a time till you find something that causes the problem (hopefully).
And again - i would remove the personal information there - nobody should need that and it is just bad idea to post those online anyways.
crashes can caused by many things (even virus scans).
best is to use UNX, it solves some issues with this game.
