i just realized something , tros can be poisoned , wth
i quickly killed the boss in the underwater ruins using a mix with rikku and one of the debuffs it had was poison , i legit didnt think that boss could get poisoned due to the game not expecting you to have poison at that point

There's quite a few bosses not actually immune to poison. Even the various incarnations of Seymour are not immune, save the for the final one (Seymour Omnis). They may be resistant, though, so it can be hard to land it, depending on what ability you are using.

im kinda curious , do these early bosses also have a zanmatou level ?same with enemies you fight at gagazet under water , since you cant have yuna there either

it just kinda surprised me to find that

Yes, they do. The Extractor, for example, has Zanmatou lvl. 4 even though you a) can't use Yuna during that fight; and b) haven't gotten access to Yojimbo yet by that point.

That's not that surprising. Encounters have a number of variables attached to them, and from a programming standpoint it's generally better to define these for everything rather than just leave them undefined, which could risk errors when something calls up those variables (for whatever reason).

but then , why dont bosses where you dont have him yet just have the lowest level because you cant use yojimbo against them anyway

Is there a reason that makes more sense than having it at the highest level?

Any number of reasons, but the biggest one is that things change a lot during development. What if, for example, they swapped out Zanmato so that it's now one of Tidus's Overdrives?* The underwater bosses would then need to have a realistic Zan-resistance variable. Having one in place ready to go is an effortless convenience towards the programmers/testers, a good preventative measure against potential bugs/crashes, and even a nice little microscopic bit of worldbuilding. There's every reason to put a number there for all enemies.

____

*(And yes, I know making Zan an Overdrive for a party member would be a dumb change, but that's beside the point here. The point is you have to ready for lots of things to change during dev)

It also set up a nice framework for when modders start there own hardmode / complete rebalance mods so yes.. better to define and left unused then to be nonexistent
