Is there any mod that fixes the characters' faces?

I was thinking of buying this game, the remaster is excellent in pretty much all areas... except the faces. I've been watching comparisons and they're just way too ugly.

If there's no way to mod the PS2 faces into the game I think I'll just have to emulate it. It's too much of a dealbreaker for me. It's a shame since everything else is a great improvement but those faces are just too much.

Also, does X-2 have the same problem with the faces?

Be aware that the mod I linked above is NOT compatible with any others.
As that one is overwriting just the face textures.

There are even other mods available that change the complete characters.

At the end I use the overall package:

BUT this one is either highly incompatible with all mods listed above.
So if I install it, I will be asked if I want to overwrite existing files. I say "NO!" to any of these so I keep the special character remakes from CDAMJC.

Maybe you can also do that with the better face textures, but I am actually happy of how the faces of all CDAMJC characters look like, so I am not using the very first mod I linked in this post.

You're welcome.
Just one more thing:

If you install the ReShade UnX compatibility you may experience that ReShade doesn't work with the latest version of UnX.
So if you want to use ReShade (some shaders indeed make the game way more beautiful than just using better textures), use an older version of UnX (0.9.1.2).
The only issue this version has is that you cannot map the UnX special functions (like boost or skip cutscenes, or go back to main menu) to a controller.
I can live with that, but the game looks way nicer with ReShade. :)

By the way, you need UnX for everything (also for the texture mods).

Way to necro, but yes, that is the issue I had with the faces.

Recently i crave to play finalfantasy10 again. It's sad that nobody was able to fix their faces. The old faces were so much better.
