other question.
Is there a way to increase radar range for the SRV?
My current range feels like tapping around in the dark.
No, it's fixed, but it's pretty sensitive.
More or less. When you have drive assist on, it does try to maintain the speed you set as this person stated. The stutter occurs because some of your wheels are losing traction, so it pushes more power to the other wheels, which can sometimes cause a spin.
Personally, I drive my SRV with my flight stick, so I like to use DA because I can throttle back and it will brake and stop me if I pull back to zero. However, when I'm driving on really rough terrain where your wheels are guaranteed to lose traction, I usually turn it off.
Extremely low gravity worlds are also a bit treacherous to drive at higher speeds. The slightest shift in terrain is enough to lift some of your wheels off the ground and then you spin out. Especially if you're driving on ice, and the lowest gravity worlds tend to be icy bodies.
(while it is under ship controls, it applies to the SRV too)
