1. You're in Supercruise. You can't deploy weapons there.
2. You bought new weapons and haven't assigned them to a fire group.
At the speed ur ship is going it will just brake off; Anyways guns only work on Normal flight not in Hyperspace nither on SuperCruise
If you are trying to get somewhere you best do that when you are close and slow enough to your selected destination ("safe disengage ready").
In super cruise you cannot have anything deployed (hard points/cargo scoop/landing gear). Safety reasons I guess - also it wouldn't be any use to you because you are in a space time warp bubble (something like that: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alcubierre_drive).
However you can always perform an emergency drop by tapping the fsd button twice. But that will damage your ship - the faster you are the more damage you will take (may rip the whole ship apart).
You cant stop in supercruise if thats what ur wondering only in normal flight.
Down to that speed it should slow down - however large masses around you inhibit your de and acceleration capabilities, which may sometimes sling you around celestial bodies in ways your thrusters cannot counteract.
use your lateral thrusters (going up/down/left/right opposed to just back/forth and rotation)
deploy landing gear
deploy cargo scoop
deploy hard points
switch lights on/off
toggle flight assist
and probably more
Also the best indication is your speed, if you are at or above 30km/s (far above usually multiples of c, light speed) you are in cruise mode. And you can see orbital lines in cruise mode (if switched on). And generally your engine sound should be way different. Lots of things.
You can also bind custom keys for jump/drop/super cruise respectively so it's not multifunctional.
