How do I register my Steam purchase with Frontier?
When you first start the game from Steam, the Launcher will give you options to either Log In to Elite Dangerous or Register for a new Frontier account. If you do not already own a Frontier account you must select Register, as an active Frontier account is required to play Elite Dangerous. https://www.frontierstore.net/customer/account/login/

Please make sure you fill out your account fully, adding a billing address. Then enter your Steam CD key on the Product Access Key section your account page. This will associate your Steam purchase with us, and you can then access the game as normal.

Should you have any problems getting this to work, please contact Frontier Support with the Steam CD key you were allocated. https://support.frontier.co.uk/kb/

What I don't get, or even like, is that Frontier wants your billing information, aka street address, and they also ask for a phone number. This is the first and only software company on this steam account that has done this. IMO, it's very creepy. There used to be such a thing as privacy, and respecting that. Why does frontier need my private info?

PLZ HELP ME

what I had to do was go to the website and put in my billing address and click on all the options they have there to link it to steam. It's working now, but it's pretty stupid that I have to give my address and phone number for a video game.

Yeah putting in a billing address on the frontier site itself sorted my problem too.

Same problem here. I did that, all previous solutions too, and my key is still not valid... I've made a ticket on Frontier support, hoping for an answer or a solution =/

Everytime I try to login, It sends me an email with the confirmation code, I put it in and then it takes me back to the login screen and says right under the "Remember my login" box that "You do not have access to Elite Dangerous"

what do?

also, I had an elite account before buying the game. what do

I have the same problem.
I bought the game today and I didn't had an account.
I also can't connect to https://www.frontierstore.net/

I solve my problem. Today https://www.frontierstore.net/ is working.
You have to log in, fill your shipping information and at the bottom of left hand menu there is "Product Access Key". Copy your cd-key from Steam there and validate. After that log in and copy verification code and it sould work now.

You had to do this as it is was part of the validation process to prevent card fraud when buying through their site was the only option. Steam support was added after the initial release and the account registration process remains as it was, nothing creepy about it.

We all have our points of view don't we? I stand by my first post on this. It is creepy, as NO OTHER games have taken that route in this account.

Other than the privacy invasion, so far E-D seems close to my expectations. (That could be a good thing.) I may write a review soon.

Well I'm confused. I purchased via steam and I didn't try that billing info stuff, still, I can login and play anyway *shrug*

Am I in trouble?

" This will associate your Steam purchase with us, and you can then access the game as normal." What do this "normal" means? Like you dont need the varification email anymore? I did this and still get the varification window and dont have any emails. The partner key do not work as varification number.

Linked my Steam account to frontier but I can´t download it there.
It says "You have not purchased any downloadable products yet."
Valien Dec 4, 2015 @ 4:30am
Also, you can access your steam key by using the "Partner Keys" sign-in option. Once I filled out all the address info and signed into Steam via Frontier it pulled my Steam key automatically. If you go this route you cannot copy-n-paste the key in the Product Access Key area since it will already be associated with your account. HTH someone. :B1:

Does it mean that we are just wasted our Elite: Dangerous keys? I registered my copy through the launcher and when I try to enter a key in "PRODUCT ACCESS KEY" section - it says that my access key has been used... So, how can I link my copy of the game that way to be able to download it from "MY DOWNLOADABLE PRODUCTS" section?
