How to get out of Chamberlain's rest?

I am a new player and I have just come back from the introductory mission. I am at Chamberlain's rest and want to board my ship but all exits are blocked. What can I do?

Make sure you actually already have a ship, if not then you'll have to grab a Sidewinder from the guy on the concourse.

The guy on the concourse? I have no ship and I wonder where to get any?

On the concourse there are a few locations. Apex to take a shuttle somewhere, the equipment shop to buy/sell suits and weapons, the bar to trade and/or sell materials, some warmonger to enroll for ground combat and finally the ship trader.

Shouldn't be too hard to find, concourse is quite small after all.

When you go to the elevator it may say go to 'asta' or something. Lower level where the ship hologram is. Behind that do the simulation/training. You can escape and exit training and continue with the (sidewinder) ship it gives.

To get yr first ship u will need get yr fly license which is a few tutorial[s] so speak to npc down in the room with light blue glass's .
