Keep a heatsink ready, if your ship is running hot. And if you run a cold ship, you wouldn't even overheat. Black holes are pretty harmless in this game.
They'll destroy your paint job if you sit at the event horizon long enough.
You could fly through them without any damage, heat problems, time lapsing or anything else.
Later the devs. added heat increasing to your ship if you get to close to make black holes "dangerous" / not completely absurd.
I would love to see them with gas around them. The first time i went to see one was VERY underwelming
