I`m sure theres more guides now its just finding them .
So, you need to be stealthy. You have to ensure your target is alone and isolated, so that nobody else will spot you scanning. And you have to wait for them to settle, then scan them from cover/behind.
Use the radar top-left and check for the white arrows. (If they're yellow or red you're already in trouble.)
Wait until the npc walks to a panel and starts his animation
stay crouched and scan, meanwhile keep a finger on "holstering"
----
after that, stay outside of the inner circle of your radar to any npcs who might scan you
ditch your stolen access lvl by opening the item wheel and selecting it (bottom), before you get scanned
As long as noone sees you raising an alarm in a non restricted high lvl room, the guards will leave you after a scan alone, but after some while of ongoing alarm, they might just attack you without further clarification.
