Moving stored items.

Ok so i completed 2 missions. And the items are in my ships storage. But every single time i move them from ship storage to backpack and exit the ship and check backpack there not there. If i re enter the ship, you guessed it there back in the ships storage. I have tried relogging etc no fix. Is there something i'm doing wrong, or is this a bug?

Have you tried to exit the ship and then to manage your backpack, while standing in a blue circle? Could it be that the backpack preloads a default load upon exiting a ship?

Yeah the items can be highlighted but you cant do ahything with it all. Just says QTY 0 In Storage 1

Thats while pressing Q and selecting backpack. Unless there is another way i dont know about.

When you just disembark and stand on the ground inside a blue circle, pressing a button that you use to board your ship, under "board" there is an option to manage your items. There you can add/move your staff between a backpack and a ship storage. I usually use it to offload my stuff, when I scavenge a settlement.

Ok i dont have that at all. When i press E to enter the ship i have name of ship, Owned by pilot and crew seats and a big orange button board. Nothing saying manage items at all.

Are you boarding it on foot, or in your SRV?

I was on foot at the space station. Going to hand in both jobs. Then i noticed that the Completed missions was greyed out. Then i noticed that the bar lady could see my mission items and could be sold etc. That how i ended up in this rabbit hole lol.

From the cockpit of your ship are you making sure to confirm the transfer at the bottom of the page otherwise the items will not stay selected?

Yes when i have moved all items a click the yellowish button to confirm. When i leave the ship it moves it all back to the ships storage

Ok same thing again. Just completed a mission to get something of a satellite. Obtained the item. On the planets surface i do get the option to manage items etc coo. Got back the the space station to hand in, moved item to backpack exited the ship, checked backpack. Not in there its in the ships storage. i ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ give up this is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and a waste of time.

If it was at a space station then I don't think you can manage your inventory in the same way - only at surface settlements and landing on planets. You shouldn't need to take items anywhere to hand them in for missions (even if you've got them off the dodgy characters on the concourse). If they were off the mission board you ought to be able to complete from the cockpit; if they were from someone standing around you just need to go to them without worrying about what's in your backpack

Well it appears that mission involving getting items and having them in youre backpack are well broken for me. Thats 3/3 missions now so i wont do any more of those because it is a waste of time. Funny how the bartender can see all the gear i have and offer to buy it. But when i goto the terminal to complete a job it say NOPE need the item in backpack. I mean really? Jesus.

You don't need to move mission items to your backpack when handing in. They're taken from the ship stock automatically. (yours, or an Apex)

If it's a mission item, then it'll automatically be handed in. However, you CAN sell certain mission items to the bartender (like power modules), which can prevent you from completing missions if you sell all of the items of that type in your possession before completing the mission.

Even better, in many cases you can hand in the mission (and the alleged item) after which you get paid and get to keep the item as well (which you can then sell at the bartender for extra payment).

Not sure if the latest update patched this, but this trick has worked for a very long time.
