Pillars of creation
So, can you visit the Pillars of Creation in ED? Is it outside of the bubble?
What about the center of the galaxy? Can you go there?

The Eagle Nebula is pretty close, about 7kLy away. But you probably wouldn't find it to be looking like the Pillars.

No problems to visit the center, as well. Sagittarius A* looks pretty nice.

You can't visit Pilllars, because they're already destroyed. As in they no longer exist right now - what hubble observed happened 6-7 thousand years ago.

You can make it to the center of galaxy, but it will be very time consuming and you'll need a fuel scoop.

There won't be any pillars, not as you saw it in Hubble. But that doesn't mean that everything is destroyed. I looked it up and the Pillars were part of the Eagle nebula. Well, guess what?

Compared to what? It's a ball of gravitational lensing and that's it. No accretion disk, no event horizon, just lensing. If you think Sagittarius A* looks "nice" in Elite, it would blow your mind if you saw it in Space Engine...

Don't waste your time. If you're really curious just look it up on youtube.
