Seems like xrebirth vr community is smaller. I guess most of the people answering here dont play in vr.
Im interesting in playing in VR, so i d like to know which game is better adapted.

The VR version of xrebirth only includes the area from the Home of Light expansion. The rest of the game is cut out. Home of light looks really pretty but it's not very big. In xrebirth you can build space stations and do some empire building, but there is a lot less places to actually go.

XRebirth is more about managing and building while Elite is designed to be immersive, so when it comes to simulate a spaceflight and feel the Scales of the Universe - Elite is just unbeaten at this Point.

I should point out that in xrebirth you can go on stations and walk around and see aliens. So although elite is better in space, xrebirth can be fun if you want to walk around a station and see aliens.

I would say Elite, except there isn't much to do after ten hours.
They got away with lying to the kickstater people about what this game was suppose to be and they used the money to make other games.

Just get rebirth, at least then you can have alot more depth

What does rebirth offer? I hear that you can build, but in what way

For those simple Questions you only need to read the Shop Page...

X Afterbirth isnt a VR game. Its a regular game that they tacked on a stereo rendering engine to (like those 3D TVs that did so well).

In the page it says Build your own space station. Is building similar to Empyrion or Space Engineers? Or you just buy a prebuilt station
I own both, X:Rebirth (or any other X game, including X4) can't hold a candle to E:D

There's designated spots in the galaxy to build stations in rebirth. You pick a type of colony ship that builds the type of station you want and tell a shipyard to make it. The shipyard makes the ship out of resources produced by stations. if it doesn't have enough, you may need to use freighters to move resources to the station. Once you have the colony ship you tell it to follow you, you move to the area with the spot you want, and you tell it to make the station you want. it then requires you to feed it resources and once it has them it builds the first module of the station. It then needs to build one module at a time while you pick which one and feed it resources each time. once built it makes a resource out of other resources as part of a production chain. The chain starts at the very bottom where you produce energy cells to feed every other station type and ends with selling an end product to a shipyard. It's also possible for the economy, which starts out just made of npc stations, to not have enough of a resource which stops the shipyard from getting what it needs to build more ships.

Btw. What does that matter when it comes to VR? I though you want a good VR Experience, otherwise just go play Minecraft you can build a lot of things there...

In Minecraft you can build your own bases too.....and it supports VR. Does that make Minecraft a better game?

Minecraft also has Space Legs!!11!!!1!
