Steam Link now available on Raspberry Pi
The Steam Link app is now available on the Raspberry Pi 3B and 3B+ running Raspbian Stretch. A wired network is strongly recommended.

To install, run the following from a command line:
sudo apt update sudo apt install steamlink

Or download and install directly from Valve:
To run, you can launch it from the Games menu, or run the following from a command line:
steamlink

Can you provide an x86_64 one?

That's great, but as @Yangtse said having it in other distro's package manager would be awesome!

Agreed. A standalone version for HTPCs and such would be great.

Am I missing something or you could just install steam on x86_64 and use in-home streaming ?

I thought this app is a lightweight one.

Desktop client doesn't allow manual IP. So the only way to do it remotely just via port forward is the mobile application/Steam Link itself. Would just be another option.

Remotely works really damn well. https://i.imgur.com/BkZCT0p.jpg

They'd have to open up the source code to legally publish an add-on. Kodi is GPL'ed software.

I have a Raspberry Pi 3B and it works perfectly. Wired connection is most definitely the way to go but Wireless still works.

What I found though is if I want to use my xbox controller with it I need to connect it to my pc and not to my pi. For some reason it doesn't want to connect to the pi even though it has that option. I don't know if it's just connectivity issues with the controller and the pi or what.
