To install, just go to the Amazon Appstore on your Fire TV and search for Steam Link to see if it is supported on your device.

Just tested this on my new Samsung S90C and the app somehow activates Game Mode on it when I open it from the FireTV Cube G3. That is very surprising. Huge advantage. Now if they release a FireTV capable of 120/144Hz output, it'll be perfect.

I had a bit of trouble enabling 4K on it, but I need to spend more time on it. I've stuck to my physical Steam Link boxes for all these years because they just work. But moving from wifi5 to 6E, and from 1080P limitation to 4K, it's time to move on.

Couple issues to report with 1.3.12 on a FireTV Cube G3.

-Xbox Series X gamepads are detected as Xbox One in the Steam UI, but correctly as Series X in the Android loading screen. Perhaps preexisting but I just noticed it.

-DualSense mappings in games were fine I in 1.3.9, but messed up in 1.3.12. Menu mappings outside of games seem correct in 1.3.12, but were incorrect in 1.3.9. In 1.3.12 this is so bad that the triggers cause the thumbstick to act as if they're pushed to the top-right. It can be fixed by opening the Steam menu (with the broken mappings that is pushing down on the left thumbstick).

-General latency issues with DualSense on 1.3.9 and potentially with 1.3.12 as well, it's hard to tell. I believe this may have been fixed in 1.3.12.

I mentioned AV1 support being broken in the other thread.

I'm returning my DualSense controllers and sticking with Xbox Series gamepads because everything I try to do with them seems to just work. But I am sure DualSense problems will be sorted out since they did work in 1.3.9.

Wanted to add an important thing... as rumors has it Amazon is developing a native OS will the app be ported to eventually new OSs or is this a one shot thing?

Hey, i have a problem and i cannot find a solution, so i will post here hoping for the best: I have my pc downstairs and my tv in my room, i have a 2023 LG TV, i've been trying to get steam link to work since i bought it, i bought an Amazon Firestick TV 4k 2023 to have game pass but is not available in argentina, then steam link got released in the fire stick and i cannot download it, it says unavailable, i switched my country to USA and i still can't download it, i tried to sideload the android app but it works terrible, it have like 2 seconds input delay, i tried to contact steam support but it doesn't give me the option, i tried everything and this is literally the only way i have to stream my steam library to my tv, but i can't, can i get some help please? thank you.

With Steam link on Fire TV 4-series I get no sound at all from the TV. Checked every solution online . All drivers are enabled. Permissions granted on TV. Sound settings all configured correctly and not muted.
I can switch to access sound at the host PC but there is no sound from the steam link app on the TV.
