Steam Link Touch Controller - A Visual Introduction
This is my take on an introduction to Steam Link Touch Controller. It includes a lot of pictures and GIFs for the various aspects related to the Touch Controller, and I talk a bit about making configs and layouts. Check it out if you're interested.

As a side note, I hope Steam will one day allow uploading videos for Steam Guides. I can create higher quality videos at a smaller file size for every GIF in the above guide.

This is a great guide!

The main difference between Trackpad mode and Trackpad Cursor mode, is that Trackpad mode provides relative mouse motion to the game and Trackpad Cursor mode provides absolute mouse position to the game and makes sure that the cursor is always in view when you're zoomed in.

Thanks!

And that info is a great help.
Currently on Android (Samsung Tab S7+) there is literally no on-screen buttons to configure touch input. If I hook up a keyboard and hold esscape I can remap a single key and that's it. Where the heck did the configuration menu go for this? Even the splash screen says there should be the little square button with the mouse cursor and three dots and it is nowhere to be found. I am going absolutely out of my mind.

EDIT: None of the touch controller overlay shows up with steam deck as the host machine. That's the entire reason it has been driving me crazy.

I'm also having the same problem streaming from a steam deck. It works only when the phone has a external controller connected. There is no on-screen buttons at all. Touchscreen acts as mouse pad only.

With a series of steam beta client updates, I found the functions of new big picture mode is becoming more and more perfect. But I still found some function lost. For example, when I streaming games using steam link app in old big picture mode. There is a very convenient function named “Active Analog Stick/Trackpad” in the screen touch controller mentioned in
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1888830141, but I can't find it anywhere in new big picture mode. So, I can't move joystick or move the trackpad while pressing a button in touch controller of steam link app. Hoping devoplers can fix it.
