Be aware though, that people who used cheat engine experienced crashing even after they stopped using it since the changes were stored in their save data.
it causes, yes. you just need to becarfull not to change the wrong data :)
just don't use cheat engine and another trainer at the same time when changing the same values as the trainer. if both change same memory registers then yes, the game will crash or the next save will be ♥♥♥♥♥♥.
Crashes will happen regardless since Cheat Engine is modifying the RAM memory in the game's EXE. Fun stuff to do.
Not a crash, but it will cause the game to fail range validation and then exit.
You know what "... out-of-range" error people complain about? That's related.
Altering your character's POSITION to be outside the map is a recoverable error - you are "Protected by Seraphim" and teleported back to your last known good position. Stats out of range will cause the game to panic and exit.
