Messing with input is about the easiest thing you can do in this game :) It uses SDL, so in a matter of minutes you can write code to completely override any aspect of the game's input processing you want.

This is, however, the first time this request has ever come up. I usually get the opposite request in games like Final Fantasy X/X-2 and I Am Setsuna that try to be smart about this and go by system locale (which is frequently wrong).
How do I completley get rid of SKIM? I'm trying to play a different game with some mods and I get the "alert" sound and then the game crashes. I've uninstalled SKIM through the exe, plus I also uninstalled the Beseria fix, but the issue still happens.

You installed the Global Injector at some point. The global injector is NOT needed for the game specific mods. You'll need to run SKIM64.exe and uninstall the global injector. Push comes to shove you can delete the SpecialK DLLs in the <My Documents>\My Mods\SpecialK folder.

Toss it in the recycle bin. If you really want to get rid of it, I think the DOD suggests formatting your disk 64 times. It's harmless though (SKIM is, not formatting your hard drive 64 times in a row -- that's probably the antithesis of harmless).

From the sounds of things, you missed part of a cutscene.
oh uhm how can I lock it to 60fps? bcuz it causing some annoying dropping if I leave it 30fps. when I opened Ctrl Shift Backsp, it showed world 60fps, cutscene 30fps, combat 60fps. the game worked fine (fine here means nocrash) but it dropped fps when characters talking to each other n it made them walked slowwwwly lol like slowmotion.
for all the trouble, this is an awesome mode :D
Just installed Tales of Zestiria for the first time and applied the fix 1.8.1.

Disable NvAPI because your driver is broken. This is an option in d3d9.ini, you'll have to turn it on manually for obvious reasons :P But that's something that can also be turned on/off in-game when NvAPI's causing other, non-crash-related problems.

TZFix 1.8.3 Released

Seems like that happens if you have RenderInBackground set to true. Also earlier version seems to have that thing in double so delete the bottom one.

FIX:
d3d9.ini

[Window.System]
RenderInBackground=false

Also, before figuring out whats the problem I had that RenderInBackground twice set to true which made weirdly enough the game sometimes launch and I couldn't tab out from the game even with ctrl+alt+del.

You cannot alt+tab out of the game in fullscreen exclcusive mode with that (RenderInBackground) set.

It's been difficult to reliably detect when a game is in fullscreen exclusive mode. It's suggested you leave that setting off unless you always run in borderless window mode.

Oh maybe I should have been more clear because I just did guess what Le Bifool Jean Poteau means.

Seems like that setting is causing game just launch process and the game never opens up. Secondly earlier version alt+tab works for me with that setting on, I can't resist poking things. :D
I don't think the feature was working as intended if it did.

What it does is prevent the game from receiving window activation events. As far as the game knows, it's always running in the foreground.

The feature is designed to prevent games that kill input when another window is in the foreground, and it's ONLY useful in windowed mode -- the primary use-case would be running the game on one monitor and browsing on another. You can have mouse/keyboard input go to the browser off screen while using gamepad to play the game.

It has zero application in fullscreen exclusive mode :) I need to work on better detection of fullscreen exclusive and automagically disengage the feature.
I got that new patch, But now that OSD menu wont go away? how do you get rid of it now, its so annoying
