why so high price?

Considering how badly optimized the game seems to be, at 66.49$ CAD I'll just wait for a sale at this point. First time I do this for a KOEI "Warriors" title. But to be fair, the previous releases were not that pricy at launch either.
DW8XL was 49.99 (or maybe even cheaper) and DW8E was 49.99 no idea why they though charging 59.99$ for this was a good idea.

If you don't have a powerful pc and want a steady 60 fps, wait for a sale. This game is poorly optimized, people with relatively powerful hardware can't get 60 fps from this game on high settings, it's quite disappointing. I think this game needs at least a GTX 900 series card to give a steady 60 fps.

It may be for an older game but if people buy the games now, it shows KOEI that the overseas PC community is in demand for games and open a door for possible better ports of newer games that they will develop in the coming years. People say to wait for a sale but that in fact will hurt the chances for us to get actual good ports. We just have to suck it up and pray that they get their act together and do things right.

Bladestorm is a seven year old game. Bladestorm Nightmare was a revamped and remastered release with added content and was released maybe seven months ago.

Though I have to admit, I was going to be buying this upon release here on Steam. Now, having seen the price, I'm not. Not unless they tack on a 30%+ discount to bring it inline with most big-named new releases. As it stands now, the price here in the UK is £50, where most new big titles on the PC sell at £30/35

Give it a year or so. Koei's Dynasty Warriors drops below $30 from time to time.
I never bothered with DW despite the sales because the DLC was so nasty expensive.

I think their idea is that they dont have a big fanbase in the pc market that could be costly due to hosting the memory or sending it to steam guessing thats why its the ps3 port instead to cut costs.

$59.99 is pretty much £39, which is the price of their previous titles in England. This over here is £49.99, which would be $76 for you. You got a pretty good deal in comparison.

buy old games which got a crappy port which is overpriced to get new games from them.
sure...do you do that on all gods you can buy or just video games?

not supporting them now is the only right thing to do. to show them that you as a customers dont suck all up they put in your mouth and want quality for your money otherwhise they can go and ♥♥♥♥ off. they want to earn money..your money! so they have to convince you to buy theire products.

but you want to buy crap to convince them that they start to make good ports of new games.
