Do Cheats Disable Achivements
If I literally do anything that amounts to anything in the tab menu does it stop me from getting achievements in the world I am in?

No, admin commands will not stop you getting them, nor will mods. In fact there are mod maps on the Workshop where you make a character, spawn in, take one step, and unlock 100% achievements all in one go.

Hermit is correct ^^

But don't do the 100% achievement cheats.. those suck and they and the people who use them just cheapen the entire point of achievements.

Getting them legit will at least give you a sense of personal accomplishment, plus it's way more fun and satisfying to do it that way.

That's exactly why I was worried about losing the chance to get them, I just needed to find my friend's argi that flew off trying to attack a pternadon while he was logged out, I spent about an hour looking for it and resorted to the cheat when I was worried it was out of food, turns out my other friend that was checking the base didn't notice the bird at base, although this was only found out after the cheat, so I was worried.

Depends what you find entertaining in games. Personally I really don't care about achievements, and don't bother to hunt them in any game. What I do like in games is being able to express my creativity, and being immersed and losing myself in a fantasy world where I can escape reality for a while. Character customisation is a big part of those two elements, but Ark hides it's character hairstyles behind achievements, which I feel is unnecessary and irritating. So I myself used a cheat map to unlock those.

A common ARK problem lol
There are a few mods that help with stuff like that, Dino trackers etc.
I use this one personally.

Small mod that's very convenient for keeping tabs on lost dinos, as well as finding wild ones in your general area.

Not locked behind achievements exactly but I know what you mean.
Collecting the Notes is part of the game even if it is immensely tedious, the achievement is more a perk of doing them.

But it's fine if people hate achievements and don't want to hunt them, most people are like that.
It's just annoying to people who like the concept of achievements but can't ever enjoy the friendly competitive element with them because other people just cheat them and pollute the statistics.

Good example I could give is say your hardcore into Dark Souls PvP but when you look at the Dark Souls leaderboards all you see is that it is utterly rampant with cheaters and no matter how good you get at the game and how much you play, your name is never going to get near the top of that list.
Same crap in many, many games these days.. it makes such lists utterly pointless and more or less kills any sense of competitive fun in the idea if you can't find a way to find personal satisfaction in knowing you at least did things legit.
We can do that with achievements at least, though it still sucks doubting most other people got it legit because so many people do cheat them.

I hear ya - if something were to give me an advantage over others online then I'd certainly be against cheating that. And I totally respect if others do like achievements and want to go for them, I know they are popular and far be it from me to judge. It is an interesting concept about having 'achievement competitions' with someone though, that's something I had not considered before...but yeah, in a case like that you'd need to be able to trust that the other parties did them legit too.

Aye, it sucks but it's unavoidable.
Usually i'm a fan of the honour system but it's hard to be these days when so many areas of gaming have issues with cheating.

I don't know how many videos i've seen about cheaters in competitive games, official tournaments and even speed running.
It's everywhere tbh.

Achievement completion still gives me some sense of personal satisfaction so I can still find fun in that part of it at least, but i'd probably be a lot more into it if people didn't cheat them.

Yeah, people nowadays are so selfish and overly competitive, and have little moral compass to prevent them from being dishonest. That's why I pretty much never play with randoms, only with close friends whom I know I can trust implicitly. Thankfully I believe this selfishness and greed will not last forever, it will be removed in time, but until then it sucks that we have to deal with it.
