When should I use this dino tracking program in singleplayer?
So this program called Lurkator lets me see all dinos and lvls (and stats) around the map, and tells me where they are.

I think this program will be good to save time....
but i also want to not be real cheaty..

I just don't want to be looking for hours on end for a high lvl dino, if there is even any on the map.
Any ideas on how / when i should use this to make ARK save time and yet not be too cheaty?

If you want better levels, I would suggest this mod (i haven't tested it).

There are mods that have tracking abilities.

If this Lurkator is a 3rd party program... i would be very wary of using it with battleye.

S+ transmitter has dino tracker built in... and there is also https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=924933745

Wich is a bit less "cheaty" then s+

I don't have to worry about Battleye cause I'm playing singleplayer correct?
I'm not doing anything to harm other players experience.
Also thx for the suggestions.
I think ima just look at the map part so that i know the locations of the species, but i wont look at lvls or stats.

What i like about Dino Tracker... is that it will only tell what Wild dino's are in render range.... but not co-ords.

S+ transmitter gives you co-ords

It's probably safer to stay away from 3rd party programs for numerous of different reasons, not just getting hit by battleye. It's a lot safer to use mods rather than a 3rd party program for a game that doesn't allow 3rd party programs 95% of the time.

First, it's Larkator, not Lurkator. ;)

Second, it's an open source standalone tool which just reads your savegame file and displays wild and tamed dinos on a map, with a nice UI. You use it outside the game, not in game. There is no process running and it doesn't modifiy or even read any game file. That means that BattlEye has nothing to do with it.

By the way, Larkator is well known and has its own thread on the official forum for a long time now. No risk at all, and like I said it's open source.

Third, you choose how you use it and you set your own rules : checking your server population in order to see if a wipe is needed, or finding a lost dino, or finding a high level one, etc. It's like using console commands or mods : you can do it in a very cheaty way, or not.

IMHO Larkator is useful because, precisely, you don't need a mod : every mod can be eventually outdated, or cause issues. To each his own, of course.

The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

I use Awesome Spyglass for this purpose. Very quick and easy to check out the level and stats of any dino.

Only if you do not suppress them via the ini settings. You can switch off Coords and the Map showing.

There is also this mod (i haven't tried), but grebog's mods can replace some of S+ functions.
