Is Lion of the North bugged?

Do you still have to do the HRE joining trick? is it required that you're in the league and not just fighting alongside it as protestant Sweden? We won the league war, but I assisted through the "Join the War of Religions" button, and not by joining the league?

would also like to now before i start my next try on sweden with the achievement

I won the war as the leader of protestant side while inside the HRE on last Friday and still didn't get the achievement. The difference might be who started the war, but not going to test it

Sadly if i just peace out the war Austria just declares it again after 1 month so im just keeping the save until its fixed

I joined the war as an ally to Bohemia but I wasn't in the HRE. We didn't even win the war, I got the achievement as soon as I joined so it's definitly bugged somehow.

Just for anyone interested... the achievement finally triggered for me when i loaded my old save file and finished the war of religion with religious supremacy in 1.4 after the DLC dropped
