No way to fully win war for independence as defender?
When colonies start wars for independence, they immediately become an independent country at war with you. There's no options to annex or have them become your subject again. I'm at 100% war score, and my big 2 options in the war score screen is for *me* to surrender or grant independence, and in the enforce demands menu, all I can do is grab ownership of individual areas for myself except the last one as that would destroy the country/colony and do things like humiliation and war reparations.

It seems like independence wars aren't tagged correctly and is just treated as a basic no casus belli war where you don't have the appropriate war goals.

(Everyone online seems to confuse this with revolts for some reasons, which is different.)

Doesn't the peace deal say they'll remain a subject? Should be that independence is a peace deal option must be picked, meaning remaining a subject is the default if not.

Turns out they do, but it's not listed in the results. There's no independent option for it.

When you're the defender you'd only see that option if you clicked over to offering concessions mode in the peace screen.

There's no option like that in the peace screen. It's just applied on its own regardless.
