Age of Discovery institutions not spreading

the age is almost over yet only a handfull of nations have the institutions

Where did it spawn? I once had the institution spawn in China and it took forever to reach Europe.

Seems to be same problem every age. My game as Castilia in 1378 not one Renaissance institution is spread enough to open it. Those all start in Italy and I have fleet basing rights to Venice and Papal, also do trading to Italian markets and I have build libraries etc to help spreading. Got this same problem at my previous test run as Portugal. At same time period maybe one institution was open.

I have played several runs with 1.4 and never had problems with institutions. Broken mods perhaps?

I don't have any mods and have all DLC.

Yeah if you're not the origin it takes a while. The way to speed it up is to create manual trades with the locations where the institution has been embraced. Trade is how they spread over distance. Build trading posts and buy as much stuff as you can.
