State of Game - Still negative event simulator?
My experience with EU5 was it was a decent game, put about 300 hours into it but I just got bored of constantly having to fight negative events that are mandatory and occur always through a playthrough.

The plague I get, but all the way up to the very end of the game all that hits you are negative events, nothing positive. Has that changed?

Yes...

And it's a Paradox Tinto simulator....i.e. no QA

They freshly released the hyped Iberia DLC today...Across the Pillars

And.......Castile starts with no ships.....zip, zero, nada.

It's a bug Ryagi says on discord.

Dude.

Hehe classic PDX. They will never learn since all of you are pre ordering these DLCs and games like crazy.

Imagine spending a fortune on a Early Access title and working as a unpaid beta tester for PDX ;)

But remember guys that PDX CEO is proud of you and can buy another yacht next year thanks to you :)
It's because all this is still included in the premium edition, once they start releasing dlc that isn't included in what we already paid for then they will care lol

Why you bought Premium Edition in the first place? Didn't you know how bad pre ordering is? Especially pre ordering PDX titles?

EU4 was their flagship game, I assumed they wouldn't ever release it without making sure it was ready. I was wrong

lol maybe because Morocco just sank their navies that same year ? twice in like 7 years , hundreds of ships gone. its historically known castile would beg all its neighbours to get a 3rd fleet to Rival the Moroccan naval domination but it seems your eurocentrism is drowning your brains so much that you can't imagine a scenario where Morocco have a naval edge over the spanish states.
truly this community is lost. they dare to hate on something yet they can't even do a basic 5 minute research

I thought the same. Surely PDX wont do that thing that people always complain about right? This time it wont be clearly a decade long DLC pipeline to milk and sell fixing the game as DLC.

The game just feels so empty besides the few nations that have gotten dlc already and it feels entirely alt hist because of the start date. It makes the player way to OP by 1500 and the AI just doesnt form anything historical or expand well.

I honestly think its something with the new engine because every PDX game on it has gone to ♥♥♥♥ besides CK3 and CK3 is kinda hated by most CK2 players I know. The games on the new engine have a uncanny feel to them. Then its like on the new engine every other major dlc just 100% bricks the game.

what you mean game is empty ? you literally have like double the things to focus on than eu4. as for formables the only that fail to form are poland-lithuania commonwealth. and maximum ottoman expansion as mamluks are too sturdy to collapse in a single battle. the rest is fine , borders don't change much like in history because in the time frame of the game there was like only 5 conquerors one for Mongols one for Ottomans one for France and one for Russia and one for Morocco. the rest stayed nearly same borders with tiny adjustments except for the east.

I actually liked the core of the gameplay I just hated the awful AI, tons of bugs and balance issues and the negative events. Outside that i do enjoy the game.
Disappointingly so
