It's confirmed Sonic 1,2,3 also removed soon along with CD
Except for CD, of course.
The steam version of the Sega Genesis Classics was available long before the console versions, and the games originally had to be purchased separately methinks.
I know that, but eventually it got upgraded when the collection hit consoles and workshop was added. I just thought things upgraded from there.
500 Rings to Rule them All - requires one of the Sonic games from main trilogy (Sonic 1,2,3)
Extra Hedgehogs - requires Sonic The Hedgehog 2
Commitment - requires Sonic The Hedgehog 1
Challenge achievements (Challenge Accepted, Challenge X and Clean Sweep) - requires Sonic The Hedgehog 1 as the achievement guide says.
I didn't find any info about needing to have Sonic 3 & Knuckles on account to get 100% achievements but I would say it's better to get Sonic 3 just in case
That's what I think, too.
