Is this just a throwaway gag, or does it have an actual password to input? Don't want to waste my time following red herrings.

I tried the password from ggroups.exe, but it's way too long.

Here, I was just thinking it was SuperHot Rogue-Like, riffing on the text-mode nature of the menu interface, and the fact that in Rogue - like Super Hot - time doesn't generally advance until you move.
It also wouldn't be the first time a Rogue-Like was developed based on a popular shooter. (see: DoomRL)

I also think most people who complain about it being short or to expensive are just people that just aren't really into PC's. They just don't get the stuff that's in there.

I just love all the little details in the game and I'm betting there are more secrets then just the secrets in the levels.

Played that one just a little bit as I don't own it myself. Looked fun but like the gameplay in SH better. But again that opinion is based of like 30 minutes of PI.

but yeah , pretty sure this is just a JOKE by devs. you CANNOT actually enter a password
for example if you type like LLL it probably comes out like this: ************ (way more stars than letters) that proves it just types stars randomly. you cannot enter your own password. and the thing "downloads" the files again each time so I am pretty sure it is just it, a chatbox and a password prompt what is fake.
