How do you unlock the 30fps cutscenes using lossless scaling?

You run it using it's frame generation x 2 feature 30fps ---> 60fps

I'm also using it on top of the game's own frame generation. Not noticing any extra latency either, though it's likely there.

I'm using Lossless on top of the native frame generation too. The two oddly play well together. But there's definitely a latency hit even with Latency set to Ultra in Nvidia Control Panel. Combat moves aren't quite as snappy or responsive. Not egregious though.

So there's not a solution? Just LossLess Scaling

Yeah, cutscenes are painful. Hope it will be fixed soon. The game constantly jumping from 120 to 30 fps

Oh man this is really disappointing once again. Ubisoft did the same crap in Far Cry 6 which was already freaking annoying there.

I wrote their support already then and asked to provide an option to unlock it but they never did. A modder had to do that for them. Also if the cutscenes would atleast run smooth 30 fps which don't feel choppy and stuttery it would atleast be slightly less jarring but not even that they seem to manage. Exact same as in Far Cry - why they just do the same crap again?

Also these forced black bars once again same as in far cry are just jarring and not immersive but immersive breaking for me. Why there is no option again to turn this off?`

Is it really that hard to offer some simple options for people?
They start doing all kind of accessibility options and whatsoever for a few people (which is nice) but still refuse to implement simple graphic options like this..I just don't get it.

Another things is..I didn't find any option to turn off depth of field. Did I just miss it (if yes sorry for the following)?

If it's indeed not there..why the heck? It was there in all the previous games so why suddenly this is also missing? With mirage they forced chromatic abberation until enough people complained and then they finally added the option again and now they decide to do the same just totally unneded thing with DOF here..just why?

If this would be a new topic and the devs couldn't know about these kind of things it would be a bit different but why we have to point out the same things again and again every new game they release? Sorry for my rant but I just find it incredibly frustrating and annoying.

I'm not hating the game or anything.. in fact I played all previous AC Games and I'm sure I could enjoy this one too if they just wouldn't make the experience worse by doing such stupid little things. So if anyone from Ubisoft reads this, please this time do something about it by yourself and don't wait for modders to do your job.

I patched their framerate limiter out of the game, and fixed a few Reflex-related issues when using DLSS Frame Generation.

Works with all versions of the game except for Ubisoft+ (sorry).

And Special K. Which has other benefits, and doesn't cost any money ;)

That's nice and indeed makes the cutscenses already much more enjoyable. Thanks for your great work.

Any chance that you can also find a way and provide options to disable black bars in cutscenes and depth of field? That would be really helpfull.

Possibly, I'm trying to get FMV -> in-engine cutscene frame generation working reliably at the moment... they're closely related, so we can hope.

That's nice to hear as it would really help me to enjoy the game even more.
Thanks again for all your efforts, you do a great job and I appreciate :)

When I use Special K the in-game frame limiter is still an option. Or is it supposed to look this way? Because the option is still there. But hopefully it's making no longer functional despite appearing? No clue.

Don't touch that setting, it's not even relevant to this discussion :)

They have a framerate limit setting, yes... but that only applies to gameplay.
The limit that I disabled is the one applied in menus (60 FPS) and to cutscenes (30 FPS).

Yeah, I mean I didn't think it was relevant to the discussion until it was brought up (or so I thought; probably my own misinterpretation).

Right, yeah. And it was working at first for me, but works irregularly now apparently (Framegen will go on and off or cutscene fps uncap will only work for a bit). Haven't tried the very latest build though - the penultimate one thus far, of the nightly builds - so I will give that a shot later when I'm able. Otherwise I'll just go back to adaptive Lossless Scaling Framegen to fix the cutscenes, which kind of sucks due to the potential ghosting there.

Thanks for all your hard work. I didn't realize you were the 'K' in question over these past few years. That's cool to know.

Can I have your autograph? Kidding.
