Well, let's get starting.... I wanna start addressing the strong points of this game (There aren't so many), so we can get over with it pretty quick, this is game is just beautiful, and I've never seen any other game have a so polished Frame Generation. Don't get me wrong, this is still a feature that's being used as a "crutch" for the developers, but I need to be honest that you will hardly notice the use of it, specially if you are playing with a controller.

Other strong point of this game is the combat, you have much of the inherited system from Valhalla, but adapted for a new game, and it works pretty well, Naoe is smooth as you expected, and Yasuke is a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ German Tiger, it's good to have both options, I'll get into it very soon.

With that in mind, we've finish all the good points I can talk about of this game, everything else will get you angry. Ubisoft are still trying to be off the shadows of Valhalla (Which is also a bad game overall), with a lot of stupid people saying that it is a bad game due to the fact that it is a RPG, it is a so lazy thought that this person could be working in Ubisoft, would be my advise. The best game of this franchise overall is arguably Odyssey, in any game aspect you can think of, all of the criticize this game receive, is because "It is not an assassin's creed", doesn't matter, still the best game of this franchise.

But why I pointed it out in the last part? Because Ubisoft literally doesn't know if they want to do an RPG game, or go back to the classics, and Voilà, we have Shadows, a game with a bunch of gameplay aspects of an so called Open World RPG Game, but trying to be an simple action story focused as the root of this franchise, guess what? It didn't work! Trying to explore in this game is a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ nightmare, do you wanna go around the map, and syncronize the fast travel points? Well... you can mount in your horse, and press a single button, and go do the dishes while the game do it for you, or you can go bald of stress trying to climb a 2 meters rock, and this ♥♥♥♥ goes over for the WHOLE game, either you do the single way the dev wanted in an so called OPEN WORLD game, or just stress your ♥♥♥♥ out of you, congratulations.

Remember when I mentioned the gameplay? Yeah, it is very much necessary to have both characters with different approaches, because otherwise you wouldn't reach the mid of the game due to how repetitive the gameplay loop is, every castle, mission, side quest, it is all the same as the other, you need to at least change the gameplay at some point.

The story.... Hell no, the weakness of Ubisoft, I don't know how the Writes can be so bad, they just can't get a single game with a good story, weak plots, and points that doesn't ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ make sense, and again, expect this for the whole game as well, the side missions are the same, all the hunting missions, the same with a different name, they just can't.

And the worst part, the cherry of the ♥♥♥♥ cake, THEY ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ HIDE THE END OF THE GAME BEHIND A DLC, I was kind of warned about it, but I thought it was something Ubisoft wouldn't do based on how bad they know their reputation are, but the main game just end in a ♥♥♥♥ cliff hanger, and you will just have an answer in a very bad DLC that is just what the end of the game should be.

This game should've released in 2024, but it was delayed during that nightmare period of Ubisoft (Worst then they are today), so I have a theory that they just didn't finish the game in time, and cut the end of it to sell it apart as a DLC, ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ disgunting.

I could still write endless on other points such as the base that is pointless until you notice that they did it so they can sell Skins, and monetize every ♥♥♥♥ out of this game. About the Battle passes inside the game to make you grind for half-weekly missions to get a skin, or the fact that they hide an achievement for the platinum behind a game mode that doesn't make sense, and nobody likes it, as if it wasn't bad enough I guess.

Well, if you want to purchase this game, just don't, it isn't worth it, and they don't deserve your money.

I really Like exploring this game.

I really tried with this game but i can say with certainty its sucks. Story sucks, the split characters suck, and its horrifically boring cannot recommend

One of the best AC games I've ever played, not sure what the negative reviews are for but Shadows runs flawlessly, graphics are amazing, combat is the best I've experienced and I love the different systems. Not an Ubisoft fanboy by any stretch, but credit where credit is due here.

its a game, i avoided playing yasuke as much as i could because i like stealth, leveling feels ass and older ac games handled it better even if it restricted your movement in the early game

This is hands down one of the best open world RPGs I have ever played, and the best Assassin's Creed game since AC2 (Ezio) that has interested me. I also used this almost like a therapy tool. The open world is massive and gorgeous, you can get lost for hours just roaming and doing mundane things, especially on a big TV with 3d headphones. As a brown man, playing as Yasuke, a samurai tank, felt almost cathartic. Unfortunately I can't find many other games like this.

Some of the story decisions I didn't agree with, but overall it didn't take away from my enjoyment.

Naoe's nimble and agile parkour and stealth gameplay is the icing on the cake. It is a joy to traverse the world as her. I can choose to quietly take down a castle with Naoe, or blast and snipe through it with Yasuke, and switch between the characters as and when needed. They both have plenty of weapons and playstyles that you can alternate between. For ex. in my first playthrough I didn't even touch kusarigama, bo, naginata, kanabo etc. I plan on doing that in NG+ in the future.

I really don't understand the big controversy this game created. It's a fictional game, a freaking simulation, why would people complain about the protagonist's race or skin colour? Seems like massive double standards, but there we are.

I hope Ubisoft won't be discouraged by all that BS and will release more DLCs or an AC shadows 2.

This game's great. I'm 25 hours in. The story is really touching. I don't remember any of the other ACs having a story this good.

3. les graphismes sont ok, mais nettement derrière RDR2
4. ils ont essayé de copier RDR2, c'est raté. comme pour Valhalla, essayer de copier les autres jeux n'a jamais été une bonne stratégie
j'ai connu une série qui s'appellait Assassin's creed, je pense qu'avec cet épisode, cette série est morte
