so about the Japanese being a bit miffed over this... why despite the reasons, did ubisoft choose now of all times, to do this...
with this horrible division between people, now was somehow a good time to test the waters.
all keys are for Ubi, no steam ;)
Ubisoft has an entire ecosystem outside of Steam, and they're clearly steering players toward it. Add to that the fact that Assassin's Creed has a massive console player base historically – trying to judge the game's success off a single PC storefront's numbers is not only misleading, it's just lazy analysis.
Expecting 80k+ on just Steam? That’s wishful thinking when a large chunk of sales likely bypass Steam entirely. Don’t mistake platform strategy for failure. Until Ubisoft releases total sales/player data, all these doom predictions are just noise.
And beside that, there is no official response yet from Ubisoft side, but metrics indicate already over 1 million sales across all platforms.
So did Monster Hunter, before World released on Steam with a 330k peak and then another 280k peak when Iceborn released.
I doubt that's even possible.
