Maybe I don't understand how the animus works but I was under the impression the person inside it can go back down their own lineage. So if it's a single person in modern day that can visit both Naoe and Yasuke, wouldn't he/she need to be a descendant of both of those characters?

The most recent AC game I played was Odyssey, where the player experienced Kassandra from DNA traces on her weapon. It looks like they've gotten around the lineage thing.
