People posted a link proving that japanese people hate this game in either this thread or another and you claimed it wasn't credible and didn't link any evidence disproving it then, so why should I link anything now when you couldn't do that yourself?

Although "I dont like it so its lEft WiNg fAkE bIaS" is a pretty easy, but pretty faulty reply strategy. Doen't really hold up now that theres actual professional articles out.

I guess we're on full denial that there was any giant backlash? A bit, sure, pretty small overall though.

Maybe if you read the article you'd know that this was addressed, and that the game still got a very very positive reception.

Backlash aside, the game is not selling well in Japan and they love action games over there.

What's interesting is that I also checked Amazon UK and over there Monster Hunter Wilds barely sold by somehow AC Shadows sold 10k+ copies in the past month. (In Japan its only 1k, and compared to 50k+ for Wilds)

Either they really love the game in the UK and for some reason people decided to buy from Amazon instead of PSN, Ubisoft, Steam (and not do that for Wilds, or Wilds was also way less popular there for some reason) or there's some kind of astroturfing effort going on there.
