So PhysX is still needed and very much applies to ATI/AMD owners as well. :)
I would try installing the PhysX Legacy Driver first, before resorting to uninstalling the latest PhysX. The legacy and latest versions can be installed side-by-side. It might help get TRON Evolution running (for at least some people?).

If the Legacy driver doesn't work, then folks will have to resort to uninstalling the latest PhysX and going back to an older version. (Which is kind of brutal.)
That is, unless you edit one of the .ini files and force the game to use your Nvidia GPU for PhysX instead.
I mention what to edit in this post:

It might give people a performance boost on Nvidia GPUs.
Hmm it says both the Legacy and regular are the 9.12.1031 version. And I just installed the Legacy one from the link redrain85 posted above.
Thank you for responding btw, so I know if it worked or not. :)
Maybe my workaround didn't work after all. But I'll see what I can do.
Yeah, I only just installed Legacy. And just now I uninstalled it and tried again and still no luck. And no problem, I'm just crossing my fingers that something will start working.
Update:I can confirm that Tron is still working, even if I installed that version
And sorry RedMineWolf, seems like my workaround isn't working :(
Sorry for wasting your time.
No problem. I'll keep working on it, maybe something will click. I appreciate any suggestions at this point.
EDIT: Actually, I tried Chaz's fix and it finally worked! So removing Physx and re-installing that version seems to work.
EDIT: I just wanted to add that what I meant by "unnecessary" and "messed up" is that it's Disney's fault (or whoever they hired to package it for Steam). Not you, Chaz! Great work in finding a fix that works, for people whose game won't start at all. :)
Thank you Chaz for finding a working fix! :D
