exploring having fun
I played as Jill.
Helps to know ~sort of~ the basic way to progress from the PS1 version days, like the 4 masks for example were pretty much just swapped out for the 3 crests to open the courtyard door, so the basic principle and location for these were similar and pretty much the entirety of the Plant/Guardhouse area and Labs were almost identical. On the other hand the changeup of pretty much every puzzle and differing locations in general (Not to mention the new mechanic of having to burn bodies which meant backtracking for kerosene) slowed my progress and stumped me for a time somewhat.
Got turned around a bit when I went down to the caverns and was met with a dead end after the Spider Boss, I had the Eagle and Wolf medals ready in anticipation in my inventory and everything, heh.
Also I am confused by the OP, you want to know first run times of this version but state that you have already played it on the gamecube..
yes, that also took me some time when useing the kerosene. also got stuck because i didnt know you have to take the emblem which unlocked the garden area for the gate in the main hall. i know the 96 version and i also was wondering why the hell there is no ladder at the cave.
also, never found the revolver (since it was never at the tigers head as in the 96 version). found ammo but never the gun it self. so that also took me some time.
