Is there anyway to invert the aim?

I've tried inverting the left stick in DS4Windows but it inverts the whole stick where as I'm just looking for inverted aim. Any help would be extremely appreciated. Thanks!

No, the game does not support inversion based on whether you press a button or not.
Maybe it is possible to write an AutoHotKey script that does exactly that, but don't ask me how exactly.

Did you try using Steam's controller configuration? From my experience with it, I believe you'd be able to achieve that by setting the aim button to trigger a different layout while you hold it. This second layout would be used to invert the aim. You also must set the same button to change back to the default setup once released. Steam's controller configuration is *very* detailed and if you care to learn its ways, you can modify how a game plays quite easily.

Btw, if you don't wanna deal with the big picture mode overlay, you don't have to. There's an option in Steam settings which allow you to make use of your controller configurations whilst using the desktop overlay.

Hey thanks for your suggestion I didn't even know this feature existed. After messing around with it I'm unable to find a way to make the left stick inverted after activating the left trigger pull.

You have to create another layout (or is it layer?). Once you do this second one, you have to set the trigger pull to change to this second layout, where you'll have the left stick inverted. On this second layout, remember to set the same button to change to the default once released. That way, you should be able to have your aim inversion trigger seamlessly.

It's a bit complicated the first time around but once you understand how it works, the entire controller configuration tool becomes much easier to work with.

Thanks again for your response, after messing around with it for about an hour and 15 I'm just going to give up on it. Can't find any options that when triggering a second layer allows me to invert the stick.

That's extremely kind and generous of you and I can't thank you enough for real. I've been dying to play this game for about a year now but could never remedy the stick inversion. It's hard being a weirdo sometimes. :p

Alright. I haven't uploaded a configuration in ages, so I'm not sure if it's available under the community tab. For some reason the tool kept saying I had to play with my configuration for at least five minutes and I've been doing exactly that for the past 15min or so :P

I did manage to greab a link to it, though. I wasn't sure if you wanted the horizontal aim inverted as well, so I left it as is. If you'd like to invert it, go to the "invert aim" action set and select the left stick, then go to advanced settings (assuming you can edit profiles created by other users, which I don't recall ever trying).

By the way, I play with an Xbox One controller in case you try looking for it under the community tab in the tool, so you'll have to ask it to show you all controller typers (Y/triangle, I believe). But it should translated just fine into DS4 inputs.

Been there myself xD I prefer to play my 3D games with the camera fully inverse (so horizontally and vertically). Not all developers offer that option, especially if they're Western. It's quite annoying but I make do with Steam's tool.
