Playing without a guide?
I didn't play it back when it was originally released only res evil 2. But wow is this like supposed to be impossible without a walkthrough? lol

If you really are stuck here's a perfect guide:

Also It's not impossible without a guide, I've done it without one, it takes ALOT of time yeah, going in circles a lot, but that's the point in Resident Evil :)

Play modern RE games. With the amount of babysitting and hand-holding you'll never get stuck.

Resident Evil is actually very short if you know exactly where to go. You can beat it in less than 3 hours.

The appeal of this sort of game is figuring out where to go and how to solve the puzzles.

It is very straightforward as long as you always check everything, including inside the inventory. Usually newbies get stuck because they forget to remove the arrowhead. But other than that, if you cover all available areas and have a semi-decent memory, you can always find a key-like item and a place to use it.

I got relatively far last time I played. Currently playing 0 and I'll finish resident evil after.

just make sure you dont loot every single puzzle item until you know where it goes, the limitied inventory is the hardest part of the game for me.

I learned that mistake lol

This is exactly why i am starting to have a Love/Hate Relationship with 1, it is a good game but it suffers when you want to figure out what to do unless you played it a million times and remember where to go exactly:cozywolfensteinII:

There is like 30 rooms in the game and only handfull of quest items. I cant imagine how can you get lost.

It has been two nights since I tried to remove all red from the maps.

I double checked the map and proceeded to finish the game. And, no achievement?

I opened the map again and found I actually missed the guard room in the aqua ring.

And traveling between the lab and other courtyard areas is really painfully long. So clear any area as soon as you can if you want the nook and cranny achievement...

I played the original RE 1 ages ago. I played RE 1 remake on gamecube years ago and RE 0 as well on gamecube. Im trying to play through the series again, so im finally getting around to RE 1 HD on Pc and i have had to restart a couple times. I realized I was playing very wr ong. I would pick up eveything i came across, and always keep keys on me at all times.

This time i dont pick things up unless I know where they will go, if I know I will be going back and forth through areas ive been to to solve puzzles I will leave keys in the storage boxes so they dont take up space.

Im having a lot of fun with the game now and trying to be more methodical in how I play.

I will be playing the original RE 1 as well , and then RE 2, 3 RE 0 HD and 4, 5 ,6 and maybe 7 if i buy it.

oh and revelations 1 and 2

I will also be going through RE 2 remake andmaybe raccoon city and I hope to find a way to play code veronica (which I have never played) on PC . I have the game on gamecube but I want to be able to play it on PC and vid cap it.
