Can you have robots in your colony?

I really like robots and was wondering if robots are simply an enemy type in rim world or if there is a way to have robots under your control? (bonus points if mechs are in this game and nobody told me)

And by robots I mean like androids, not just robotic factory arms or whatever.

there's enemy mechs but that's the extent of it for vanilla, there's android tiers or rimsec off the top of my head that are both pretty nice mods

also android tiers for pawn robots and vanilla faction enhanced - mechanoids for worker bots and some interesting security bots as well as factory/automation

yeah i enjoyed this mod, i may still use it when its updated for 1.3, i loved my scyther bots to run frontline interception. sometimes i made em suicide bombers.

misc. robots is honestly the best robo mod, at default it only includes haulers and cleaners but has an add-on for more types. but the base mod is actually incredibly helpfull, I'll usually own a small fleet of hauler drones so that everything gets hauled to where it needs to be asap
