Exporting a map
I've played on older version of the game and since the update my saves broke. (Forgot to disable updates)
I want to at least port the playable zone into a new save, is it possible? Help me onegai

idk if that works. but you can save your seed, use it agin and get the mod "map reroll", it lets you choose a map after your liking. If tynan breaks a savegame you can imagine him nuking it with 5 bombs, there is no way to just take a part of it sadly, even if, you probaly play a year and all goes to ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

If you want to go back to an older version of the game, you can do so through the beta branches of the game. Won't help if what broke your save were mods, though.

Mods are the problem, sadly.
So there is no tool for map/playable area export?

If you mean like exporting a part of a colony no I dont think so. What oyu can do in a hour of work, get follwing mods:

Prepare carefully (change your perks to what they were)
Debugmode (spawn stuff) and give most of your ♥♥♥♥ back.

Its a lot of work but in my opinion if you just start a new game and start on low difficulty to get some enjoyment before hell breaks out and turn it up then you can pretty much archive what you had. use this restart to completly overwork your modlist and check the console to irrated all errors.

I don't really care about colonists and ♥♥♥♥ and ready to start over, but I don't want to autistically plan the building again so I wanted to somehow move it to the new save.

Men even I with 3,5 thousand hours have a use for this mod thanks for posting it

yes you can also use

"More Planning"

It gives oyu alot of colours to work with, but blueprint you should be able to copy building out of the old save and recall them. But the mods (changing building etc, like mroe furniture) need to be the same of course otherwise it will still work, but throw errors

I don't really understand how it works, but I'll subscribe and see if it helps.

yes. It basicly gives you more options with coloring you planning, instead of the dumbass one white color like it is in vanilla. It also gives you the option to plan in mountain areas without the plan just vanishing after you dug out a tile
